On this week’s episode of In The Circle, we’re taking it back to where it all began – Episode 1. In this episode, Theresa asked us such a very important question: is it possible for a person in recovery to truly reach a place of peace and contentment?
This incredibly powerful question, it seems to me, is really about the entire human race. Is it possible for any person, whether in recovery or not, to truly find peace and contentment?
When we look at this inquiry through the lens of addiction and recovery, we learn so much about ourselves. Our minds are responsible for some of the problems that we encounter, but our minds also create the solutions.
Thoughts lead to impressions, impressions lead to habits, and our habits determine how we act in this world. It’s only by taking action to change these habits that we can move forward into a greater state of awareness and presence.
Karma is a wheel of thought impression, which leads to action, which leads to more thought.
