Yoga Teachers who have taken at least a 200-hour teacher training certified by Yoga Alliance, and who are committed to a lifestyle of recovery from addiction.


  • Applications are due by March 15, 2020.
  • There are no fees for submitting your application.
  • Applications are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis.
  • Once your application has been accepted, you will be invited to register and pay for the training.
  • Payment plans are available.

For more than forty years the Himalayan Institute’s Retreat Center has been a gathering place for people seeking inspiration and aspiring to restore inner balance. It’s a place for seekers wishing to study the ancient tradition of yoga and to deepen the connection between themselves and the world around them. Here, you can enjoy our peaceful campus, taking time out from habitual distractions and the bustle of everyday life.

Your transportation to and from the Himalayan Institute (air and ground), additional snacks, book store purchases and incidentals.

Layered clothing, yoga clothing, hiking boots, slip on shoes and your camera! Please bring your own toiletries, including soap, toothpaste, bathrobe, slippers, shower shoes, hair dryer, etc. You may also wish to bring a flashlight, a yoga mat, and an umbrella. A Recovery 2.0 Coach Training Manual and Journal will be provided.

Accommodations at the Himalayan Institute are simple and clean, designed for you to feel comfortable and relaxed. Double occupancy rooms include two twin beds, a sink in the room and a shared hallway bath. With double occupancy rooms, we will assign a roommate of the same gender.
