Awakening Tip #6: "Move" Out of Feeling Depressed

Depression! For those of us who have experienced it, we know what a formidable challenge it presents.

When stuck in depression whether chronic or temporary, you feel like all wind has left your sails. It’s not low energy, it’s like NO ENERGY.

When you are depressed, you believe it’s a life sentence. You just cannot see through to the other side.

One thing you can do to bring yourself up out of depression is to move the body, raise your heart rate and breathe deeply. Walk, run, bike, hike, dance and sing. Of course, practice yoga.

Since we mostly view depression as a “mental or emotional” concern, we often forget to turn to the physical body for help.
