Our retreat concludes just as the International Yoga Festival begins at the renowned Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. The festival will take place from March 9-15, 2025.
While this is not officially a part of our retreat together, we highly recommend you plan on staying afterward for this outstanding celebration of yoga and life like no other.
You can stay for a day, the entire week, or any length of time in between. It’s too special not to mention it. If you come, we will all be seeing each other throughout the week. If interested, we will walk you through the registration process.
The Spiritual Journey to India is intended for people who identify as being in recovery from addictive substances or behaviors with at least 1 year of continuous sobriety. All participants commit to avoiding the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other addictive substances during the program regardless of their affiliation.
No. There is no nicotine in any form allowed on this trip. On this journey, there’s no need for nicotine.
Yes, you will want to have at least begun a practice of yoga. However, the yoga we teach, while challenging to each individual, will be accessible to practitioners at every level.
Absolutely! If you have a partner or friend who is also in recovery or who has supported you in your recovery, please ask them to apply and include your name in their application. Sharing this transformational week with someone close to you is such a gift.
Your accommodations for 10 days and nights at The Sattva Retreat Center, all of your meals (delicious, organic Indian food), all lectures, yoga, Satsangs (spiritual Q&A), group activities, and excursions.

Rishikesh is a cool in the early mornings and very warm throughout the day.
You will need a valid passport and VISA (US Residents) to travel to India. No vaccines are required for India, however Tetanus, Hep A and Typhoid are recommended.
You will fly into New Delhi, catch a connecting flight to Dehradun, then Shuttle to Sattva Retreat in Rishikesh. We will guide you through the process.
The International Yoga Festival is an incredible experience that we highly recommend! The festival will take place March 9-15, 2025, at Parmarth Niketan Ashram with close to 100 world-renowned teachers and thousands of yogis from all over the world. If you choose to come with us (we hope you do!) we’ll guide you through the process of purchasing your ticket, and we’ll recommend a place to stay. You will be responsible for purchasing your ticket, food and accommodation for the duration of the festival.
We will travel together from Sattva to Parmarth Niketan so that no one gets left behind. It’s truly a wonderful experience!
